In 2020, SONEC celebrates 13 years since its creation. Discover some of the key projects we’ve been working on over the past 13 years!
Our beginnings in 2007, around retention solutions for oil transformers, in particular around renovation and decontamination campaigns for old PCB and Pyralene transformers.
2008: Integration of single-piece extinguishing retention tank solutions fitted with single-slope suffocating slats to bring substations into compliance with NFC13200 V2008, and to equip transformers, auto-transformers, TSAs and TCIs in electrical substations: BCF or ERT range.
2009: Successful full-scale trials of our extinguishing retention tanks for transformers at CNPP Group, several projects with EDF and Enedis, and the first modular fire-resistant tanks for SNCF with our BCP or ERT ranges.
2009 -2010: Fire suffocating covers and rainwater decontamination filters
Flexible retention tanks and metallic bunds, several CCF EXTICOV projects with EDF, Enedis, RTE Réseau de Transport d’Electricité and SNCF, and SPI filter projects.
In 2011 :
- New realizations and full-scale extinguishing tests of fire suffocating covers and pans at CNPP.
- Creation of a pit with fire suffocating cover to simulate an oil transformer explosion and fire.
- We carried out full-scale explosion tests on extinguishing retention tanks to ENEDIS ERDF specifications.
These successful tests, based on several fire scenarios and ignited dielectric oil spills, enabled us to measure the extinguishing capacity of our equipment.
2012 to 2021: End of our retrospective celebrating 13 years of SONEC, with numerous achievements year after year during which we consolidated our expertise as one of the leaders in the French market.
Thank you to all our customers and partners, including ENEDIS, Engie, RTE and SNCF, who use our BR2S or BGS simple retention solutions, BCF fire extinguishing covers or CCF fire extinguishing covers. Our successful integration into the SANERGRID Group in 2018 now ushers in a new era for us with the opening up of our international activities. We look forward to seeing you soon.
