PTC probes are made of PTFE cable that gives an instant temperature response. It has a diameter of 3mm and a cable cross-section of 0.14mm². PTC probes for T119 protection relays are designed to monitor the temperature of transformer and motor windings. Sold in packs of 6.

The PTC sensor can be fitted to the T119 thermal protection relay for encapsulated dry-type transformers.
